Supporting Indigenous Self-Determination through Wholistic, Collaborative Research
At Research Circle, we support Indigenous Peoples, Nations, and organizations by co-creating wholistic, evidence-based solutions grounded in Indigenous Knowledge and self-determination. Our team partners with First Nations to design research, programs, and strategies that respond to community priorities across health, education, governance, and wellbeing. We work with all ages and sectors—youth, Elders, educators, leaders, and families—supporting Nation-led initiatives through respectful engagement and collaborative inquiry. By blending community insight with rigorous, culturally grounded methods, we foster resilience, accountability, and meaningful, lasting impact.
Our Services
We partner with First Nations, Indigenous organizations, and allies to co-create wholistic research rooted in story, relationality, and self-determination.
Community-Led Research & Knowledge Mobilization
We design and support Indigenous-led research rooted in community priorities, protocols, and knowledge systems. From wholistic evaluations and community-based studies to story-based reports and digital tools, we generate insights that drive action and share them in ways that reflect Indigenous ways of knowing.
Ethics, Governance & Data Sovereignty
We help partners create culturally grounded frameworks that guide ethical research and protect Indigenous rights. Through protocol development, governance tools, and relational accountability, we support data sovereignty and ensure knowledge is governed and shared with care and respect.
Capacity Building & Strategic Facilitation
We strengthen Indigenous research leadership through mentorship, training, and workshops that support youth, emerging scholars, and communities. Our facilitation fosters dialogue, reflection, and planning, helping organizations advance governance, education, wellness, and long-term impact.
